Os Elementos se Desfarão Abrasados
"Virá ... como ladrão, o dia do Senhor, O qual os céus passarão com estrepitoso e os elementos se desfarão abrasados; também a Terra e as obras que nela existem serão atingidas". 11 S. Ped. 3:10.
No dia do Senhor, pouco antes da vinda de Cristo, Deus, em Sua ira, enviará raios do céu, que se unirão com o fogo na Terra. As montanhas ardem como uma fornalha, e derramarão terríveis correntes de lava, destruindo jardins e campos, vilas e cidades; e, ao arremessarem nos rios seus minérios derretidos, pedras e lodo aquecido, fá-los-ão ferver como uma panela, arremetendo também rochas maciças e espalhando seus fragmentos sobre a terra com indescritível violência. Rios inteiros tornar-se-ão secos. A Terra se convulsionará, e por toda parte haverá pavorosas erupções e terremotos. Deus afligirá os perversos habitantes da Terra até serem destruí- dos. - 3SG, 82 e 83.
A Terra oscilará de um lado para outro como um ébrio, e será removida como uma choça. Os elementos estarão em chamas, e o céu enrolar-se-á como um pergaminho. - 5BC, 1110.
A crosta da Terra será dilacerada pelas explosões dos ele- mentos ocultos nas entranhas da Terra. Estes elementos, uma vez desprendidos, arrebatarão os tesouros dos que, durante anos, têm estado a aumentar sua riqueza adquirindo grandes posses, a preços de fome, dos que estão a seu serviço. - MS 24, 1891.
A grande conflagração geral está precisamente à frente, quando todo esse malbaratado labor da vida será arrebatado da noite para o dia. - 4T, 49.
Haverá ... grande destruição de vidas humanas. Mas, como nos dias do grande dilúvio, Noé foi preservado na arca que Deus preparara para ele, assim nestes dias de destruição e calamidade, Deus será o refúgio de Seus crentes. Ele declara por intermédio do salmista: "Porquanto tu puseste ao Senhor, refúgio meu, ao Altíssimo por tua habitação; nenhum mal te sucederá, praga nenhuma chegará a tua tenda". "Pois no dia da adversidade Ele me ocultará no Seu Pavilhão ..." Não faremos, então, do Senhor nossa segurança e nossa defesa? - Carta W-258, 1907.

LOS ELEMENTOS ARDIENDO SERÁN DESHECHOS
Pero el día del Señor vendrá como ladrón en la noche; en el cual los cielos pasarán con grande estruendo, y los elementos ardiendo serán deshechos, y la tierra y las obras que en ella hay serán quemadas. (2 Ped. 3: 10).
En el día del Señor, precisamente antes de la venida de Cristo, Dios enviará relámpagos a la tierra en su ira, los cuales se unirán con el fuego de la tierra. Las montañas arderán como un horno, y derramarán terribles arroyos de lava, destruyendo huertas y campos, aldeas y ciudades; y al derramar minerales fundidos, rocas y lodo ardiente en los ríos, éstos hervirán como una olla, despedirán pesadas rocas y esparcirán sus fragmentos sobre el campo con indescriptible violencia. Ríos enteros se secarán. La tierra se convulsionará y habrá espantosas erupciones y terremotos por todas partes. Dios enviará sus plagas sobre los impíos habitantes de la tierra, hasta que sean destruidos y eliminados de ella.*
La tierra tambaleará como un ebrio, y será removida como una choza. Los elementos arderán y los cielos se enrollarán como un libro.*
La corteza terrestre se agrietará por causa de la erupción de los elementos encerrados en las entrañas de la tierra. Dichos elementos, una vez sueltos, arrasarán los tesoros de los que por años habrían estado acumulando riquezas, a fin de asegurarse grandes posesiones, a costa del salario de hambre de sus empleados.*
La gran conflagración general está justamente delante de nosotros, cuando todo el fruto de esta malograda labor de la vida será barrido de la noche a la mañana.*
Habrá gran destrucción de vidas humanas. Pero como en los días del gran diluvio Noé fue preservado en el arca que Dios había preparado para él, también en esos días de destrucción y calamidad Dios será el refugio de los creyentes. Declara el Señor mediante el salmista: "Porque has puesto a Jehová, que es mi esperanza, al Altísimo por tu habitación, no te sobrevendrá mal, ni plaga tocará tu morada" (Sal. 91: 9, 10). "Porque él me esconderá en su tabernáculo en el día del mal" (Sal. 27: 5). . . ¿No haremos entonces del Señor nuestra seguridad y nuestra defensa?*

October 2 - The Elements Melt with Fervent Heat
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10.
In the day of the Lord, just before the coming of Christ, God will send lightnings from Heaven in His wrath, which will unite with fire in the earth. The mountains will burn like a furnace, and will pour forth terrible streams of lava, destroying gardens and fields, villages and cities; and as they pour their melted ore, rocks and heated mud into the rivers, will cause them to boil like a pot, and send forth massive rocks and scatter their broken fragments upon the land with indescribable violence. Whole rivers will be dried up. The earth will be convulsed, and there will be dreadful eruptions and earthquakes everywhere. God will plague the wicked inhabitants of the earth until they are destroyed from off it. {Mar 283.1}
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and be removed as a cottage. The elements shall be in flames, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll. {Mar 283.2}
The earth"s crust will be rent by the outbursts of the elements concealed in the bowels of the earth. These elements, once broken loose, will sweep away the treasures of those who for years have been adding to their wealth by securing large possessions at starvation prices from those in their employ. {Mar 283.3}
The great general conflagration is but just ahead, when all this wasted labour of life will be swept away in a night and day. {Mar 283.4}
There will be . . . great destruction of human life. But as in the days of the great deluge Noah was preserved in the ark that God had prepared for him, so in these days of destruction and calamity, God will be the refuge of His believing ones. Through the psalmist He declares, "Because thou has made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." "For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion. . . ." Then shall we not make the Lord our surety and our defence? {Mar 283.5}
We should be preparing for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for them that love Him. There is a rest from earth"s conflict. {Mar 283.6}
