O Cativeiro de Satanás e seus Anjos
"E a anjos, os que não guardaram o seu estado original, mas abandonaram o seu próprio domicílio, Ele tem guardado sob trovas, em algemas eternas, para o juízo do grande dia". S. Jud. 6.
A Terra tinha a aparência de um deserto solitário. Cidades e vilas, derribadas pelo terremoto, jaziam em montões. Montanhas tinham sido removidas de seus lugares, deixando grandes cavernas. Pedras anfractuosas, arrojadas pelo mar, ou arrancadas da própria terra, estavam espalhadas por toda a sua superfície. Grandes árvores tinham sido desarraiga- das, e juncavam a terra. Aqui deve ser a morada de Satanás com seus anjos maus, durante mil anos. Aqui estará ele circunscrito, para errar para cá e acolá, sobre a superfície da Terra, e para ver os" efeitos de sua rebelião contra a lei de Deus. Durante mil anos ele poderá gozar do fruto da maldição que ele determinou. Circunscrito apenas à Terra, Satanás não terá o privilégio de percorrer outros planetas para tentar e molestar os que não caíram. Durante este tempo Satanás sofre extremamente. Desde sua queda, seus maus característicos têm estado em constante exercício. Mas deve ele então ser despojado de seu poder e deixado para que
reflita na parte que desempenhou desde sua queda, e aguarde com tremor e terror o terrível futuro, em que deverá sofrer por todo o mal que perpetrou, e ser castigado por todos os pecados que fez com que fossem cometidos.
Ouvi aclamações de triunfo dos anjos e dos santos remi- dos, os quais ressoavam como dez milhares de instrumentos musicais, porque não mais deveriam ser molestados e tentados por Satanás, e porque os habitantes de outros mundos estavam livres de sua presença e tentações. - PE, 290.
Ao povo de Deus o cativeiro de Satanás trará alegria e júbilo. Diz o profeta: "Acontecerá que no dia em que Deus vier a dar-te descanso do teu trabalho, e do teu tremor, e da dura servidão com que te fizeram servir, então proferirás este dito contra o rei de Babilônia [representando aqui Satanás], e dirás: Como cessou o opressor! ... Já quebrantou o Senhor o bastão dos ímpios e o cetro dos dominadores. Aquele que feria os povos com furor, com praga incessante, o que com ira dominava as nações, agora é perseguido, sem que alguém o possa impedir". Isaías 14:3-6. - GC, 657.

LA CAUTIVIDAD DE SATANÁS Y SUS ÁNGELES
Y a los ángeles que no guardaron su dignidad, sino que abandonaron su propia morada, los ha guardado bajo oscuridad, en prisiones eternas, para el juicio del gran día. (Jud. 6).
La tierra. . . se asemejaba a un desolado desierto. Las ciudades y las aldeas, sacudidas por el terremoto, yacían en ruinas. Las montañas, descuajadas de sus asientos, habían dejado grandes cavernas. Sobre toda la superficie de la tierra estaban esparcidos los desmochados peñascos que había lanzado el mar o se habían desprendido de la misma tierra. Corpulentos árboles desarraigados estaban tendidos por el suelo. La desolada tierra iba a ser la habitación de Satanás y sus malignos ángeles durante mil años.
Allí quedaría Satanás recluido, vagabundo y errante por toda la tierra para ver las consecuencias de su rebelión contra la ley de Dios. Durante mil años iba a poder gozar del fruto de la maldición que había causado. Recluido en la tierra, no tendría ocasión de ir a otros planetas para tentar y molestar a quienes no han caído. Durante todo este tiempo Satanás sufrirá muchísimo. Sus características malignas han estado en constante ejercicio desde su caída; pero se verá entonces privado de su poder y obligado a reflexionar con terror y temblor en lo que le reserva el porvenir cuando haya de penar por todo el mal que hizo y ser castigado por todos los pecados que hizo cometer.
Oí, de parte de los ángeles y de los santos redimidos, exclamaciones de triunfo que resonaban como diez mil instrumentos músicos, porque ya no se verían ellos molestados ni tentados por Satanás, y porque los habitantes de otros mundos quedaban libres de él y de sus tentaciones.*
Para el pueblo de Dios, el cautiverio en que se verá Satanás será motivo de contento y alegría. El profeta dice: "Y en el día que Jehová te dé reposo de tu trabajo y de tu temor, y de la dura servidumbre en que te hicieron servir, pronunciarás este proverbio contra el rey de Babilonia [que aquí representa a Satanás], y dirás: ¡Cómo paró el opresor. . . ! Quebrantó Jehová el báculo de los impíos, el cetro de los señores; el que hería a los pueblos con furor, con llaga permanente, el que se enseñoreaba de las naciones con ira, y las perseguía con crueldad" (Isa. 14: 3-6,VM).*

November 1 - The Captivity of Satan and His Angels
The angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 6.
The earth looked like a desolate wilderness. Cities and villages, shaken down by the earthquake, lay in heaps. Mountains had been moved out of their places, leaving large caverns. Ragged rocks, thrown out by the sea, or torn out of the earth itself, were scattered all over its surface. Large trees had been uprooted and were strewn over the land. Here is to be the home of Satan with his evil angels for a thousand years. {Mar 313.1}
Here he will be confined, to wander up and down over the broken surface of the earth and see the effects of his rebellion against God"s law. For a thousand years he can enjoy the fruit of the curse which he has caused. Limited alone to the earth, he will not have the privilege of ranging to other planets, to tempt and annoy those who have not fallen. During this time, Satan suffers extremely. Since his fall his evil traits have been in constant exercise. But he is then to be deprived of his power, and left to reflect upon the part which he has acted since his fall, and to look forward with trembling and terror to the dreadful future, when he must suffer for all the evil that he has done and be punished for all the sins that he has caused to be committed. {Mar 313.2}
I heard shouts of triumph from the angels and from the redeemed saints, which sounded like ten thousand musical instruments, because they were to be no more annoyed and tempted by Satan and because the inhabitants of other worlds were delivered from his presence and his temptations. {Mar 313.3}
To God"s people the captivity of Satan will bring gladness and rejoicing. Says the prophet: "It shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy trouble, and from the hard service wherein thou wast made to serve, that thou shalt take up this parable against the king of Babylon [here representing Satan], and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! . . . Jehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of the rulers; that smote the peoples in wrath with a continual stroke, that ruled the nations in anger, with a persecution that none restrained." Verses 3-6, R.V. {Mar 313.4}
