O Sábado Proclamado Mais Amplamente
Vi outro anjo voando pelo meio do céu, tendo um evangelho eterno para pregar aos que se assentam sobro a Terra, e a cada nação, e tribo, e língua e povo, dizendo, em grande voz Temei a Deus e dai-Lhe glória, pois é chegada a hora do Seu juízo; e adorai Aquele que fez o céu, e a Terra, e o mar, o as fontes das águas".- Apoc. 14:6 e 7.
Ao início do tempo de angústia fomos citemos do Espírito Santo ao sairmos para proclamar o sábado mais amplamente. PE, 33.
O "início do tempo de angústia" ali mencionado, não se refere ao tempo em que as pragas começarão a ser derramadas, mas a um breve período, pouco antes, enquanto Cristo está no santuário. Nesse tempo, enquanto a obra de salvação está se encerrando, tribulações virão sobre a Terra e as nações ficarão iradas, embora contidas para não impedir a obra do terceiro anjo. Nesse tempo a "chuva serôdia", ou o refrigério pela presença do Senhor, virá, para dar poder à grande voz do terceiro anjo e preparar os santos para estarem de pé no período em que as sete últimas pragas serão derramadas. - PE, 85 e 86.

Eles vêem que, em vez de observar o sétimo dia, o dia que Deus santificou e ordenou fosse observado como o sábado, estão guardando o primeiro dia da semana. Mas desejam sinceramente fazer a vontade de Deus, e começam a examinar as Escrituras a fim de encontram a razão da mudança. Não conseguindo achar nenhuma autorização bíblica para esse costume, surge a pergunta: Aceitaremos uma verdade que se tornou impopular e obedeceremos aos mandamentos de Deus, ou continuaremos com o mundo e obedeceremos aos mandamentos de homens? SE PROCLAMA EL SÁBADO MAS PLENAMENTE
Vi volar por en medio del cielo a otro ángel, que tenía el evangelio eterno para predicarlo a los moradores de la tierra, a toda nación, tribu, lengua y pueblo, diciendo a gran voz: Temed a Dios, y dadle gloria, porque la hora de su juicio ha llegado; y adorad a aquel que hizo el cielo y la tierra, el mar y las fuentes de las aguas. (Apoc. 14: 6, 7).
Al empezar el tiempo de angustia fuimos henchidos del Espíritu Santo cuando salimos a proclamar más plenamente el sábado. . .
El comienzo del "tiempo de angustia" mencionado entonces, no se refiere al momento cuando comiencen a caer las plagas, sino a un corto período que transcurre precisamente antes que caigan, mientras Cristo está en el santuario. En ese tiempo, cuando se esté terminando la obra de la salvación, vendrá aflicción sobre la tierra, y las naciones se airarán, aunque serán mantenidas en jaque para que no impidan la realización de la obra del tercer ángel. En ese tiempo descenderá la "lluvia tardía" o refrigerio de la presencia del Señor, para dar poder a la voz fuerte del tercer ángel, y preparar a los santos para que puedan subsistir mientras sean derramadas las siete postreras plagas.*
El ángel de Apocalipsis 14. . . presenta un mensaje que debe ser proclamado al mundo justamente antes que Cristo venga en las nubes del cielo. . . Precisamente antes de ese tiempo, entonces, la atención de la gente debe ser dirigida hacia la pisoteada ley de Dios, que está contenida en el arca del pacto. . .
Se dan cuenta de que en lugar de guardar el séptimo día, el que Dios santificó y ordenó que se guardara como día de reposo, están guardando el primer día de la semana. Pero desean sinceramente hacer la voluntad de Dios, y comienzan a investigar la Escritura para encontrar la razón del cambio. Al no hallar base bíblica para esa costumbre, surge la pregunta: ¿Aceptaremos una verdad que se ha vuelto impopular y obedeceremos los mandamientos de Dios, o seguiremos con el mundo y obedeceremos los mandamientos de los hombres? Con las Biblias abiertas lloran y oran, y comparan un pasaje con otro hasta que, convencidos de la verdad, asumen con plena conciencia su lugar como guardadores de los mandamientos de Dios. *

June 11 - The Sabbath Proclaimed More Fully
I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Rev. 14:6, 7.
At the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully. {Mar 170.1}
"The commencement of that time of trouble," here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time the "latter rain," or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out. {Mar 170.2}
[The angel of Revelation 14] presents a message that is to be proclaimed to the world just before Christ comes in the clouds of heaven. . . . Just prior to this time, then, the attention of the people is to be called to the down-trodden law of God, which is contained in the ark of the testament. . . . {Mar 170.3}
They see that instead of observing the seventh day, the day that God sanctified, and commanded to be observed as the Sabbath, they are keeping the first day of the week. But they honestly desire to do God"s will, and they begin to search the Scriptures to find the reason for the change. Failing to find any scriptural authority for the custom, the question arises, Shall we accept a truth that has become unpopular, and obey the commandments of God, or shall we continue with the world, and obey the commandments of men? With open Bibles they weep, and pray, and compare scripture with scripture, until, convinced of the truth, they conscientiously take their stand as keepers of the commandments of God. {Mar 170.4}
