3 »No tengas otros dioses además de mí.[a]
4 »No te hagas ningún ídolo, ni nada que guarde semejanza con lo que hay arriba en el cielo, ni con lo que hay abajo en la tierra, ni con lo que hay en las aguas debajo de la tierra.5 No te inclines delante de ellos ni los adores. Yo, el Señor tu Dios, soy un Dios celoso. Cuando los padres son malvados y me odian, yo castigo a sus hijos hasta la tercera y cuarta generación.6 Por el contrario, cuando me aman y cumplen mis mandamientos, les muestro mi amor por mil generaciones.
7 »No pronuncies el *nombre del Señor tu Dios a la ligera. Yo, el Señor, no tendré por inocente a quien se atreva a pronunciar mi nombre a la ligera.
8 »Acuérdate del *sábado, para consagrarlo.9 Trabaja seis días, y haz en ellos todo lo que tengas que hacer,10 pero el día séptimo será un día de reposo para honrar al Señor tu Dios. No hagas en ese día ningún trabajo, ni tampoco tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu esclavo, ni tu esclava, ni tus animales, ni tampoco los extranjeros que vivan en tus ciudades.[b]11 Acuérdate de que en seis días hizo el Señor los cielos y la tierra, el mar y todo lo que hay en ellos, y que descansó el séptimo día. Por eso el Señor bendijo y consagró el día de reposo.
12 »Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, para que disfrutes de una larga vida en la tierra que te da el Señor tu Dios.
13 »No mates.
14 »No cometas adulterio.
15 »No robes.
16 »No des falso testimonio en contra de tu prójimo.
17 »No codicies la casa de tu prójimo: No codicies su esposa, ni su esclavo, ni su esclava, ni su buey, ni su burro, ni nada que le pertenezca.»

3(D) "You shall have no other gods before[a] me.
4(E) "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5(F) You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am(G) a jealous God,(H) visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands[b] of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7(I) "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8(J) "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9(K) Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10but the(L) seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the(M) sojourner who is within your gates. 11For(N) in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12(O) "Honor your father and your mother,(P) that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
13(Q) "You shall not murder.[c]
14(R) "You shall not commit adultery.
15(S) "You shall not steal.
16(T) "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

3U mag geen andere goden aanbidden dan Mij.
4U mag geen beeld of afbeelding maken van wat boven in de hemel of op de aarde, noch van wat in de wateren onder de aarde is.
5U mag niet voor dergelijke zaken buigen of deze vereren; want Ik, de HERE, ben een jaloerse God, Die de zonden van de vaders toerekent aan de kinderen, kleinkinderen en achterkleinkinderen van hen die Mij haten.
6Maar Ik ben liefdevol voor hen die van Mij houden en mijn wetten gehoorzamen.
7U mag de naam van de HERE, uw God, niet zonder goede reden gebruiken, want de HERE zal degene die dat wel doet, zeker straffen.
8Onderhoud de sabbat als een heilige dag.
9Zes dagen moet u werken,
10maar de zevende dag is de sabbat van de HERE, een rustdag. Op die dag mag u niet werken. En dat geldt ook voor uw zonen, dochters, slaven (man of vrouw), vee en gasten.
11Want in zes dagen heeft de HERE de hemel, de aarde, de zee en alles wat daarin leeft, gemaakt en Hij rustte op de zevende dag. Daarom zegende de HERE de sabbat en maakte er een bijzondere, heilige dag van.
12Heb eerbied voor uw vader en uw moeder, dan krijgt u een lang en goed leven in het land dat de HERE, uw God, u zal geven.
13U mag niemand doodslaan.
14U mag niet echtbreken.
15U mag niet stelen.
16U mag geen leugens vertellen aan andere mensen.
17U mag niet jaloers zijn op het huis van uw naaste en ook niet op zijn vrouw, zijn slaaf, zijn slavin, zijn rund en zijn ezel of iets anders dat het eigendom is van uw naaste."

3Să nu ai alţi dumnezei afară de Mine.
4Să nu-ţi faci chip cioplit, nici vreo înfăţişare a lucrurilor cari sînt sus în ceruri, sau jos pe pămînt, sau în apele mai de jos de cît pămîntul.
5Să nu te închini înaintea lor, şi să nu le slujeşti; căci Eu, Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, sînt un Dumnezeu gelos, care pedepsesc nelegiuirea părinţilor în copii pînă la al treilea şi la al patrulea neam al celor ce Mă urăsc,
6şi Mă îndur pînă la al miilea neam de cei ce Mă iubesc şi păzesc poruncile Mele.
7Să nu iei în deşert Numele Domnului, Dumnezeului tău; căci Domnul nu va lăsa nepedepsit pe cel ce va lua în deşert Numele Lui.
8Adu-ţi aminte de ziua de odihnă, ca s'o sfinţeşti.
9Să lucrezi şase zile, şi să-ţi faci lucrul tău.
10Dar ziua a şaptea este ziua de odihnă închinată Domnului, Dumnezeului tău: să nu faci nicio lucrare în ea, nici tu, nici fiul tău, nici fiica ta, nici robul tău, nici roaba ta, nici vita ta, nici străinul care este în casa ta.
11Căci în şase zile a făcut Domnul cerurile, pămîntul şi marea, şi tot ce este în ele, iar în ziua a şaptea S'a odihnit: de aceea a binecuvîntat Domnul ziua de odihnă şi a sfinţit -o.
12Cinsteşte pe tatăl tău şi pe mama ta, pentruca să ţi se lungească zilele în ţara, pe care ţi -o dă Domnul, Dumnezeul tău.
13Să nu ucizi.
14Să nu preacurveşti.
15Să nu furi.
16Să nu mărturiseşti strîmb împotriva aproapelui tău.
17Să nu pofteşti casa aproapelui tău; să nu pofteşti nevasta aproapelui tău, nici robul lui, nici roaba lui, nici boul lui, nici măgarul lui, nici vreun alt lucru, care este al aproapelui tău.
